Stripping membranes at 2 cm dilated
1 day ago · Like. D. DKrpr. May 15, 2024 at 11:09 AM. I was 4 cm and has membrane strip yesterday. So far nothing. I’ll be induced tomorrow at 39 weeks if no baby before. The midwife said to give it 24-48 hours to work. She said the more dilated the more likely to be effective. I had my membranes stripped with my last one, I was 35 wks, and I was 5 CM dilated, after my membranes were stripped, I went into labor, and had my baby 4 1/2 hours later! It was worth it! It did hurt a little, just a little uncomfortable. I am now on my 3rd pregnancey and hoping for the same! Goodluck all:)

I am 3 cm and 80% effaced. For anyone who is worried about it being painful, don't be. I was prepared for it to be painful but it really wasn't bad. 2 cm dilated and 50 to 60% effaced. Having 2 centimeters of cervical dilation and between 50 to 60 percent effacement can be experienced about the 38 th week of your pregnancy. You will still be a little far from delivery given that, for labor to occur, you must have 10 centimeters of dilation and 100 percent effacement. ….
