I have never had a problem adapting to the rubber finger grove grips on my 686's. For wood grips "cokes" are my preference for shooting.

I tried a Hogue S&W K/L round butt grip and it didn’t work. Your best bet, in the US, is MacTec. They import direct from Nill in Germany and their prices are the same.
